MitoGraphics has a long history of providing solutions for overlays, control panels and branding panels for clients in the electronics industry.

In recent years, our team has seen an evolution from high volume production, to lower volume, niche manufacturing of electronic products.

We have also seen a higher emphasis placed on creating prototype models for presentation to investors, for use in preparation of marketing materials or client focus group applications.

The Mito Team’s goal is always to provide solutions that work for our clients.  For some time, we have been brain storming on how to better serve the needs of our clients for short run, cost effective overlays, control panels and other industrial graphic products.  The reality is that the cost of preparing film, screens, steel rule dies and doing PMS colour matching for inks is not a cost effective process for creating low volume orders for evaluation purposes by our client.  We needed to develop a method of producing these trial runs in a cost effective way, which also allowed for clients to come back with modifications that would not result in having to redo a steel rule die, or reimage multiple screens.  The product development process is always challenging, and we wanted to create an ideal way to deal with these projects that would provide more value to our clients.

Our team evaluated many options, and chose to move forward with a solution which would achieve the following outcomes:

  • Digital graphics printed onto metals, plastic, glass and other substrates (thickness up to 6”)
  • Precision trimming without any setup / tooling fees
  • Colour matching for PMS colour inks on the digital printer

We are able to screen print additional inks as required for specialty applications to complement the basic digital image – including deadfront inks, IR transmitting inks, LED diffusion layers and transparent inks.

Our new process meets the needs of two different potential client groups – high volume manufacturers seeking prototype development service, and low volume, niche manufacturers seeking a supplier to work with.

We look forward to the opportunity to help new and existing clients with upcoming projects – contact us today to learn more about how we can work together to make your vision a reality!
